In a nutshell

The Phil and Teds Traveller Travel Cot is lighter than baby. Ideal at home or on the move, indoors or outdoors, for sleeping or playing.

Super light and super compact at a time. It slips even under the stroller, in a luggage compartment or in the trunk of a car.

A significant benefit for all parents who know that traveling with a baby is a real move.

The assembly is simple but necessary fast. Watching the instruction video help speeding up the process.

Large zipper mesh openings allow total ventilation of the bed. A double opening: on the top and on the side, to transform the crib into a park to discover.

It is even possible to completely close the bed … a way to protect baby from insects and pets.

The mattress is self-inflating, thermal insulation, anti-humidity and heat regulator. A double bottom allows to insert and protect the mattress.

The materials are resistant to external use, the product has even been tested in altitude … what to enjoy the good air of the mountain with baby.

And for summer releases, it is possible to replace the top mesh opening with a UV protection mesh (sold separately)

Is the Phil and Teds Cot Portable?

Yes the travel cot is very light and portable. It’s a record in terms of weight and size, which is great when the car is full to go on vacation! With its 68x25x20cm size, it fits easily into cabin luggage and suitcases. Its 3.2kh weight makes it even lighter than most newborn babies!

The travel crib comes with a shoulder strap to easily and comfortably carry it around. You can use it in stay overnight, whether for camping or at grandma’s house.

How comfortable is the Phil and Teds Traveler Travel Cot?

My daughter has slept in it all summer, whether for naps and nights so it’s not just an extra bed but a real travel bed that’s more, is very comfortable!

The self-inflating mattress is very practical but to make it more comfortable, I inflate it more.

Safety Features

I rated the safety features of the Phil & Teds crib very high. Indeed once fully setup the structure if quiet stable.

The breathable mesh also allow you to see your baby while busy with other chores. The cot has been earned a global safety certification.

The thermally insulated mattress is covered with some material that are Oeko-tex certified, meaning it’s free from health-hazardous substances.

Recommended Use

This crib can be used from birth till 3 years. It’s ideal for inside and outdoor use because of its lightness.

Care and Maintenance

The manufacturer recommends the following caring tips for your travel cot:

  • The fabrics can be cleaned with a sponge using warm water and a mild natural soap
  • Do not watch with solvents, bleach or detergents as these may harm the fabric.
  • Dry the cot before storing

What I like about the Phil & Ted Traveler crib

I love the fact that it’s ultra-lightweight and it takes the place of a small tent bag in the trunk. It can be assembled and dissembled in less than 5 minutes once one gets used to it.

The breathable mesh allow you to keep an eye on your child while cooking for instance.

It’s the ideal gear for every traveler mom out there.

What I don’t Like

The price tag can put you off and it’s fiddly to assemble the first time.

The mattress does not seem to lay flat at times and may require some additional air to bring it to the right level for your child.
